Executive Director's Message

Why showcases?

So often, people attend classes in a variety of art forms but never get to truly experience what it is like to perform their art form in front of a live audience. At The House of MAGIC Foundation for the Arts, our mantra is “Learn | See | Experience the arts in all its forms.” What this means is that people can learn about the craft, see the craft, and experience the craft in a variety of ways.

Julie and James founded The House of MAGIC Foundation for the Arts because they believe that the arts have an amazing impact on our communities. The arts help bring people together, improve grades, lower crime, and give people a constructive outlet to be able to express themselves in a unique way. So, on behalf of The House of MAGIC Family – Welcome!

Our doors are always open

Whether you are just beginning or a seasoned professional, if you have a love and passion for the arts, our doors are always open for you to come to learn, see, or experience, the art in many forms.

Our shows nearly always sell out and for that, we thank each and every person who comes out to support our students and fellow entertainers.

Selected students from our Monday Night Improv class come together to entertain on the First Friday of each month. The great thing about Improv is the shows are always different, and the comedy will keep you in stiches.

This is a unique form of close-up magic that is performed to a limited audience and the magic is happening right in front of your eyes. Each month we select a featured performer from a group of world-class professional magicians and our house magicians Joshua and James. Each performance is unique in style. We also invite one of our students to perform a few tricks, to experience the thrill of performing.

This is a stage show, featuring three top performers in the Southern California area. Each performer will present a unique style of magic from the other performers, so it is a great opportunity to experience magic in a variety of ways, all packed in a single show. Magic students are invited to perform in-between performers to experience what it is like to present their magic in front of a live audience.
